Viking Row: Drum Rhythm Game · Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Mun Studio ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the mobile game Viking Row: Drum Rhythm Game (the "App").
Camera
The App uses your device's front camera to read your body movement so it can score your rowing strokes (on iOS via Apple's Vision framework, on Android via Google's ML Kit Pose Detection). This processing happens entirely on your device. Camera frames are never recorded, stored, uploaded, or shared with us or any third party. The App only requests camera access while you are actively playing a voyage.
Microphone
The App can optionally use your device's microphone to detect when you shout "RO!" and score your chant. This audio is analyzed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, uploaded, or shared. You can play with the microphone off at any time in Settings; rowing motion alone still scores your voyage.
Leaderboard
The App includes an optional global leaderboard ("Hall of Champions"). If you choose to submit a score, the App sends the display name you type (up to 24 characters, chosen by you, not tied to any account), your best distance, and a random identifier generated on your device to Google Cloud Firestore, which we use to host the leaderboard. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information, and no sign-in is required. Reinstalling the App generates a new identifier and a fresh leaderboard row.
Do not enter your real name or any personal information as your leaderboard display name, since it is visible to other players.
Advertising
The App may display ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use device identifiers (such as your advertising ID), approximate location, and other technical information to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly.
You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and manage your ad personalization settings, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law (for example under the EU/UK consent frameworks, or Apple's App Tracking Transparency on iOS), we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads.
Purchases
The App offers an optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, processed entirely by Apple or Google through your app store account. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Information we do not collect
Beyond what is described above, we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or any other personal content from your device, and we do not use any analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests may be configured as non-personalized in regions or app configurations that require child-directed treatment.
Data retention & your choices
Uninstalling the App removes all data stored locally on your device. To remove your leaderboard entry, contact us at the email below with your leaderboard name so we can delete the matching row. To reset ad personalization, use your device's system settings (e.g. "Reset Advertising ID" on Android, or Tracking settings on iOS).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
